Domaine Matray

Juliénas, Beaujolais

From a winemaking family spanning five generations, Lilian Matray and his wife Sandrine work the family estate.

The estate buildings are in Juliénas, a charming little Beaujolais village, while the estate’s vines grow on 11 hectares of slopes that are in the Juliénas appellation area and they make lovely Beaujolais Villages, Chénas and superb St Amour.

The variety of the soils give the very typical fruity Beaujolais aromas and flavours of each specific appellation.

The Matray are an exciting and dynamic winemaking family, making exciting wines and innovating with their Rikiki (a fortified Gamay) and the fun Perle Rouge traditional method sparkling red Gamay.
