Beaujolais Nouveau: Older vines and lower yields this is a seriously good Nouveau where the bright red fruits are not masked by carbonic maceration. Made by a true craftsman. The 2019 was voted joint winner best Beaujolais Nouveau for the Beaujeu celebrations last year! So easy drinking, and absolutely fantastic in the following Summer too. "Gouleyant"

Beaujolais Villages Nouveau: A more serious, grippier nouveau. Red fruit and darker fruit and some tannins. This wine opens up over time so buy enough and enjoy all the way to Summer.

Beaujolais Rosé Nouveau: We took this for the first time last year and were blown away, so much zing, delicious. Bright fruit, very zingy, bone dry, it was one of the best Rosé in all of Beaujolais. I have high hopes Philippe can repeat the feat this year.

Hommage a Philippe: this is the most serious of all our Nouveau. No Sulfur added at any point, not in the vineyard or the cellar or at bottling. The result has more heft than the "normal" Villages Nouveau, dark fruit and minerality, but it is a wine to keep cool and drink once opened.

It's Summer in a bottle
Serve Beaujolais Nouveau slightly cool, it enhances the fruitiness and brings out the summer breeze feeling of the wine.
It goes with everything - fantastic with grouse and game birds, with goats cheese and other sharp cheeses, with pork chops. Also the best wine chilled with Summer barbecue, with all forms of sausages, with a platter of swiss style rösti. The lively acidity means it is a red that can handle zingy tomato sauces like a champ, and be served with fish.

Bill Nanson, Burgundy report: "Hmm, that’s a fine nose – easy, attractive certainly inviting. Incisive, mineral, but melting flavour. Slightly saline – easy and delicious with a faint touch of finishing tannin!"

Vintage 2020

This is silky smooth, rich, with lovely grippy tannins. Smells of flowers and blackberries, tastes of every black fruit, very long and moreish. Instant crowd pleaser.

Vintage 2019

From Burgundy Report, November 2019 "Jérôme Lacondemine, Coeur de Raisin
Medium, medium-plus colour. A cliché but attractive Beaujolais nose. Mouth-filling, cool fruit, really juicy, it’s long too. I think this more than excellent!"

My take: On the cool dark fruit, black cherries and blackberries. Nice edge of tannins and long finish. Lovely but more serious and will probably come out of its shell more over time. Buy more and drink throughout the year

Vintage 2019

from Burgundy Report November 2019 "Medium colour. A modest volume of aroma, but deep and attractively floral too. A fine grain of tannin supports a wine of fresh attack but depth of fruit to balance. A good big mouthful of fine Beaujolais here."

My take: There's quite a bit of violet for us, with juicy red fruit and a nice touch of minerality. Very moreish and easy drinking.
